Thank you Skylar for helping us considering all the possible options in navigating peri/menopause in a more healthy way.

I love the idea that it's not "one size fits all" and that we have many options we can benefit from. I do not use HRT right now, but like you, my symptoms are increasing dramatically to the point of interfering with my daily activities on some specific days of my cycle. To be honest, I feel a little scared to try HRT, not sure exactly why, or how to explain it, but i welcome the feelings and i am trying to navigate this slowly and consciously.

I like the idea of journaling about my symptoms and one quick way to do so would be on my phone (symptoms can pop up in the midst of an activity and that would be handy to easily keep track of them wherever i am!). Any app you use or like?

Thank you! This world needs you/your work!!! xx

Hi Skylar, Thanks for this great piece. I was on HRT patches a year or so ago, but stopped because I wasn't sure if they were helping my symptoms. Then my mum was diagnosed with osteoporosis after two fractures. I decided to retry the patches and so far so good. I definitely sleep better, although my joints are still achy on and off. Once I am a year with no periods, my doctor recommended I get a bone density scan.
