"Your tiny garden doesn't need to impress anyone else. It doesn't need to scale or trend or solve everything. It just needs your genuine and consistent attention. In a world that profits from our distraction and overwhelm, choosing to care for what’s directly in front of us becomes a quiet, radical act."

I love these words, and while I am familiar with Voltaire's phrase on tending to one's garden, there is something soft and approachable about tending to tiny gardens. Just a tiny step, a small act - this, I think to myself, is doable. I can do tiny today.

I’m just emerging from a very challenging few years (in every way) and have decided that my focus for the rest of this year will be my health/energy, my family/home/garden and training my dog. That’s all. That is my tiny garden - it’s all I can and want to cope with, it’s what will make the most significant difference to me and those in my immediate circle and hopefully it will eventually flourish into a slightly bigger garden and I can move my focus further outwards. 😊
